Brief History

About Froebel Educational Centre

Froebel Educational was founded in 1988 as part of the founder’s initiative to contribute to the then-educational structure of Ghana as a private Day Care Centre. It was, however, registered with the Ghana Education Service as a recognized Educational Centre for Kids in the year 1990, and further accredited by the Education Service of Ghana as a fully fletched School in 1993. The school was founded by Madam Daizy Vivian Buiterze with the assistance of her cherished friend Madam Angelina Morrison with the intended motive of taking care of young ones of nursing mothers in order to enable them to have the needed time to concentrate on their work or trade.

The founder was able to mobilize children for the school’s establishment by visiting various homes and churches within the immediate catchment area. Six boys and four girls, totaling ten children was the recorded enrollment representing the humble beginning and the bright future of Froebel Day Care Centre. The school started on a veranda since there was no established structure to house the kids but it was later moved to an erected wooden structure due to the increasing number of kids, which were registered each passing day. The pioneers of the school were between the ages of one and a half to three years in the Crèche and later Nursery class. It has been 30 years since its establishment and can boast of producing doctors, lawyers, politicians, and administrators in various blue-coloured establishments.
